Security notifications, alarms, announcements, messages, and alerts are sent through the SOME Communication Portal (SİP), developed by USOM (National Cybersecurity Operations Center) to The Sectoral and Institutional Cyber Incident Response Teams (SOME) within Türkiye’s cybersecurity organization

At the same time, SOME teams can report incidents and alerts they detect to USOM via the SİP platform.

USOM collaborates with public institutions, internet service providers, private sector organizations, and other internet stakeholders in Türkiye to carry out necessary activities.

Based on the letter of the Council of Higher Education(Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı) dated November 27, 2014, numbered 11924119-719/84, and with the approval of the Rectorate, our department was established on December 12, 2014.

Our institute’s Cyber Incident Response Team (SOME) was established following the “Regulation on the Establishment, Duties, and Operations of Cyber Incident Response Teams,” published in the Official Gazette dated November 11, 2013, and numbered 28818. It operates in accordance with the “Organizational SOME Setup and Management Guide” prepared by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs, and Communications for institutions required to establish a Corporate SOME.

In addition to taking preventive measures to avoid cybersecurity breaches, coordinated efforts are carried out with BTK USOM to detect incidents and eliminate threats when they arise.
